Matthew has over 25 years experience of working in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. Beginning his career at the age of 16, he worked for a local contractor for several years before applying to one of the industries leading manufacturers, Daikin Europe NV. For the next 10 years, he gained invaluable experience in all aspects of the industry from working on the factory floor,through to design and product development in Europe and Japan.

This wealth of technical knowledge and skills allowed him to establish Mattair Ltd in 2009, offering a professional air conditioning and refrigeration service to a small number of clients. Matthew has developed the company to become well known within the industry as a business, which offers a high level of technical expertise with complete customer satisfaction.

With a career spanning 30 plus years within the industry, Ian has a wealth of experience in Air Conditioning, Close Control, Chillers, Refrigeration, Ventilation and Heat Pumps.  He is also a TM44 Air Conditioning Energy Assessor and Decarbonisation (Heating) Solutions specialist.

Ian has a strong passion for energy-saving and has extensive knowledge in Net Zero and Carbon reduction, with a keen interest in strategies for removing gas from buildings.

Ian’s distinguished career has also led him to become an active Stem Ambassador, a proud committee member of the Institute of Refrigeration, the Yorkshire Region Vice-Chairman of BESA, a UK Construction Role Model and a TM44 Air Conditioning Energy Assessor at the highest level.

For many years, Amanda worked for a leading Japanese air conditioning manufacturer in a managerial position where she learned valuable industrial experience.

Amanda is now responsible for the Finance Department as well as all HR & marketing related activities within the company.

From a commercial background, Dave joined the company in 2016 to develop the service and maintenance department.

As the company has grown, he has progressed to overseeing the smooth running of both the installation and service departments.

Dave is a key member of the Management Team, taking responsibility for the day to day operational decisions including all health and safety related matters.

Jamie joined Mattair in 2022, bringing with him over 16 years experience of working within the industry. Jamie has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pumps, together with the ability to work on more complicated systems such as VRF and chillers.

In his role as Senior Projects Engineer, Jamie uses his technical knowledge and experience to liaise between our customers and engineers ensuring all jobs run smoothly, efficiently and on time.

Adam’s journey in the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry began at the age of 16 when he worked for his dad’s refrigeration company whilst studying for his A Levels.  At 21, after obtaining a BTEC in Electrical Engineering, he began an apprenticeship with a local refrigeration company.  He continued to develop his industry knowledge and practical experience by working as an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer for 6 years before joining the team at Mattair in early 2023.

Adam is now a Project Engineer, carrying out site surveys, preparing quotations and liaising with our engineers and customers to ensure work runs smoothly.

Danny joined the team at Mattair in the role of Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer, following a decision to change careers as he had a genuine interest in the refrigeration/air conditioning cycle.  For a number of years, he gained practical experience and industry knowledge in all areas of maintenance, servicing, repair and installation.  This together with his previous experience in a co-ordinating and leadership role has allowed him to progress to his current position as Service Project Engineer

Rachel has recently joined us our Service Co-ordinator, taking responsibility for scheduling our Engineers visits, providing quotations for maintenance and repairs as well as liaising with our customers.  Rachel brings with her extensive administration and business skills, having worked in similar roles for a number of years.
