🛠️ Air Conditioning Maintenance for Care Homes – Cheshire Case Study

Our team of engineers have recently completed a scheduled air conditioning maintenance visit at a care home in Cheshire.

As part of the visit, we completed:

• Filter cleaning to maintain optimal airflow and reduce strain on the units
• Outdoor unit cleaning, using a universal coil cleaner to maximise energy efficiency
• Indirect and visual leak checks to detect any issues early
• Condensate pump and gravity drain testing to ensure water drainage was working correctly

All systems were left in excellent condition, improving both energy performance and indoor air quality for the residents and staff.

Identifying and Resolving Issues

During our inspection, we found two faulty condensate pumps in the server room and clinic room. These were immediately replaced to ensure continued reliability and prevent further complications.

We also discovered that a kitchen extract fan was noisy and showing signs of movement in the bearing. We’ve recommended follow-up remedial work, including replacing the fan blade to restore optimal performance.
