At Mattair, we believe in investing in the professional development of our team to ensure the highest standards of service delivery. Our comprehensive training programme for our air conditioning engineers is designed to equip them with the skills, knowledge and expertise to excel in their roles. We cover a wide range of topics including:

Health & Safety Knowledge

The health and safety of our employees is our top priority and that’s why we employ an external health & safety company to advise us on all health & safety related matters including industry best practices and safety protocols to minimise risks and ensure a safe working environment for both our employees and our clients. Through them all our engineers receive e learning modules to complete as well as toolbox talks on all relevant health & safety matters such as Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling. We issue RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments through the portal prior to the engineer visiting site, to ensure their health & safety is maintained at all times.

We also send our engineers on PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers & Manufactures Association) and IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) courses to provide training on access equipment.

Technical Skills

Our engineers receive hands-on training in the latest air conditioning systems and technologies. From installation and maintenance to troubleshooting and repair, they are well equipped to work on a variety of HVAC systems.

They also attend training provided by equipment manufacturers such as Toshiba and Mitsubishi, to learn about specific products and systems. This training includes installation procedures, troubleshooting techniques, maintenance practices and warranty requirements.

Compliance

There are a number of regulations and standards governing the design, installation and operation of air conditioning and refrigeration systems particularly regarding environmental concerns such as refrigerant emissions and it is essential that our engineers receive the necessary training to comply with these.

In particular, it is a legal requirement for anyone working on equipment containing or designed to contain HFC and HCFC refrigerants to hold an F Gas Certificate. Here at Mattair, all of our engineers have completed their F-Gas training, proving their competency, knowledge and understanding and have the necessary certification to comply with the F-Gas Regulations.

In the UK, TM44 Assessments are a legal requirement for buildings with air conditioning systems with a combined effective rated output greater than 12kw. If your building requires a TM44 Assessment, this will need to be completed by an accredited energy assessor as these professionals have the expertise to evaluate the efficiency and performance of air conditioning systems.

At Mattair, we have a team of highly skilled Energy Assessors who are qualified to carry out TM44 Assessments.

Customer Service Excellence

We understand the importance of providing exceptional customer service. Our engineers understand the importance of effective communication and professionalism to ensure that every interaction with our clients is positive and productive.

Environmental Awareness

As part of our commitment to sustainability, our training programme emphasises environmental awareness and energy efficiency. Our engineers are trained to recommend eco-friendly solutions and practices to minimise environmental impact and reduce energy consumption.

Ongoing Professional Development

Air conditioning and refrigeration technology is constantly evolving, with new products, techniques and regulations emerging regularly. We encourage our engineers to pursue further education and training opportunities to stay updated on industry trends, advancements and best practices.

By investing in the training and development of our air conditioning engineers, we ensure that they are well equipped to meet the evolving needs of our clients and deliver the highest quality of service, reliability and expertise.

When you choose Mattair, you can trust that you’re partnering with a team of skilled professionals who are committed to excellence in every aspect of air conditioning and maintenance.
