Our history
Based in Sheffield the company was established in 2009 to provide professional air conditioning services to companies throughout the U.K.
Initially working with a small group of clients, the business grew through personal recommendation and client referrals and the company moved to larger premises at Omega Court in the beginning of 2015.
To further develop the business, the maintenance department was set up to provide a dedicated service to clients in all aspects of maintenance and repair, resulting in quicker response times, a more efficient service and ultimately greater customer satisfaction.
Mattair now provides services to a variety of business from small end users to large blue chip organisations and continues to build on its reputation as a leading temperature control specialist.

Many thanks for everyone involved in our Air Source Heating breakdown repair, in one of the coldest Decembers (2017) on record – from the diagnostics to the repair, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were friendly and professional, even whilst working at a holiday cottage, in freezing temperatures, with no tea/coffee making facilities ! Once the problem had been identified, it meant another return visit, to carry out the repair, which was done just before the Christmas break, again, very much appreciated. It meant the cottage guests had a snug Christmas break and that we were confident that should any other problems ever arise that we would definitely call Mattair and recommend them too !

I first came across Mattair via Linked-in with Matthew asking us if you can help. From this first contact, your team came and understood our requirements fully. You undertook an as-built survey of our Centre's air conditioning system and units and then undertook a full service. We were impressed with your care and skill and now hold a maintenance agreement with your-good-selves. You have also helped us with preparing the initial scheme to install a new air condition unit in The Hanover Hall, which can accommodate up-to 160 people. “Can’t rate Mattair highly enough…...We had a failing air conditioning unit in our offices, failing on one of the hottest days in 2018, we placed a call thinking as it was so hot would probably be waiting for a good few days for an Engineer to be available. Our call was logged and was promised a ring back with a time, the call back came within the hour and an Engineer scheduled for the next day. My team in the ‘hot office’ were very grateful, the Engineer narrowed down the problem and it was rectified promptly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Mattair to anyone.

Mattair recently installed air conditioning in our Sheffield centre. We found their initial visit extremely helpful and it was clear that they understood the best options for our unusually shaped rooms. The installation went very well, the staff were organised, professional, helpful and left us almost no mess. We were also given simple practical advice on how best to manage the new system in a building used by large numbers of people. It is reassuring to know that we can have regular maintenance checks and ongoing support.
