Matthew Fletcher - Director
With over 25 years of experience in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry, Matthew began his career at 16, working for a local contractor before joining one of the industry’s leading manufacturers, Daikin Europe NV. Over the next 10 years, he gained invaluable experience across all aspects of the industry, from hands-on work on the factory floor to design and product development in Europe and Japan.
This extensive technical knowledge and skillset laid the foundation for Mattair Maintenance Ltd, which Matthew founded in 2009. What began as a small service offering to a handful of clients has grown into a well-respected business known for its high-level technical expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Ian Fisher (F.Inst.R) - Technical Sales Director
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Ian has built a wealth of expertise in Air Conditioning, Close Control, Chillers, Refrigeration, Ventilation, and Heat Pumps. He is a TM44 Air Conditioning Energy Assessor and a specialist in Decarbonisation (Heating) Solutions.
Ian is deeply passionate about energy-saving and has extensive knowledge in Net Zero and Carbon reduction, with a particular focus on strategies to remove gas from buildings.
Throughout his distinguished career, Ian has become an active STEM Ambassador, a proud committee member of the Institute of Refrigeration, a UK Construction Role Model, and holds the highest level of certification as a TM44 Air Conditioning Energy Assessor. His expertise and dedication to sustainable solutions continue to inspire the industry.
Amanda Fletcher - Director
Amanda brings extensive experience from her time in a managerial role at a leading Japanese air conditioning manufacturer, where she gained valuable industry knowledge.
Now, Amanda is responsible for overseeing Finance, HR, and Marketing within the company. Her broad expertise and strategic approach help drive the continued success and growth of Mattair across all departments.
Dave Hopkins - Operations Manager
With a strong commercial background, Dave joined Mattair in 2016 to develop the service and maintenance department. As the company has grown, so has his role, now overseeing the smooth operation of both the installation and service departments.
As a key member of the Management Team, Dave is responsible for day-to-day operational decisions, including all health and safety matters. His leadership and expertise ensure that our projects run efficiently and to the highest standards.
Adam Callaghan - Senior Project Engineer
Adam’s career in the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration industry began at just 16 when he worked for his dad’s refrigeration company while studying for his A-Levels. At 21, after earning a BTEC in Electrical Engineering, he began an apprenticeship with a local refrigeration company, gaining hands-on experience and expanding his industry knowledge.
He went on to work as an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer for six years before joining Mattair in early 2023. Now a Senior Project Engineer, Adam is responsible for site surveys, preparing quotations, and coordinating with engineers and customers to ensure projects run smoothly. His expertise and dedication make him an essential part of the team!
Danny Byard - Service Project Engineer
Danny joined Mattair as a Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer, driven by a genuine interest in the refrigeration and air conditioning cycle. Through years of hands-on experience, he developed expertise in maintenance, servicing, repair, and installation across the industry.
His technical knowledge, combined with previous experience in coordinating and leadership roles, has enabled him to progress to his current position as Service Project Engineer. Danny continues to play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions for our customers.
Rachel Pugh - Service Co-ordinator
As our Service Co-ordinator, Rachel is responsible for scheduling engineer visits, preparing quotations for maintenance visits, and ensuring smooth communication with our customers.
With extensive experience in administration and business operations, Rachel plays a key role in keeping our services running efficiently. Her expertise and attention to detail make her a valued member of the team!
Amy Fletcher - Administration/Finance Assistant
Amy recently joined our team as an Administration/ Finance Assistant and has quickly become an integral part of our operations. She is currently learning the role of Finance Assistant, managing our Asset Database, and handling telephone enquiries to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Her attention to detail and enthusiasm make her a great addition to the team!
